Choosing the right kitten for you

Kittens make adorable pets, especially when you are a loving parent. But not all kinds of kittens are suited for everyone. For instance, if you never had a pet before then choosing teacup Persian Kittens as your first pet is not a good idea. They are very sensitive and need extreme care. So, how do you choose a kitten that is right for you?
Here’s how.
Consider your lifestyle and home
It is important to evaluate your living conditions beforehand, prior to bringing a kitten home. There are a few things to consider like if you already have pets, can you handle multiple littermates, how often you are away from home, can you groom long-haired kittens, etc. All of these questions will help you have a clear idea of what kind of kitten you want.
Know what a healthy kitten looks like
There’s no discharge in eyes of healthy kittens and they are bright. Healthy kittens also have a clean and shiny coat and their ears are dirt free. When you will be with a healthy kitten it won’t be squinting or sneezing like it has cold. Excessive licking and scratching is also a sign of fleas and other parasites.

Healthy behaviors
You will be allowed by shelter owners to spend some time with kittens before you make an adoption decision. During your interaction with the kitten look for healthy behaviors. Kittens what are alert and curious are always healthy than those that are lethargic or listless. Choose teacup Persian Kittens that are friendly and approachable.
During your pre-adoption time try to get to know the kitten’s personality. Shyer teacup kittens will take longer than more playful kittens to adjust especially in a household with young children and other pets. On the other hand, while more energetic kittens will be playful and easily adapt in the new home, they will need more exercise which means they will require more kitten-proof homes. If you want a lap cat then you will need to pick one that settles down on the lap easily and is very responsive to petting.
After the adoption
Once you find the right kitten for you, make a schedule to take her to the vet. Ask your vet any questions you have regarding her health and behavior.
